Preview: Roadside Crosses

Jeffery Deaver's second novel featuring Kathryn Dance, the California Bureau of Investigation's kinesics expert, is scheduled for release tomorrow. Kathryn first appeared in The Cold Moon where she teamed up with Lincoln Rhyme and Amelia Sachs to bring down the Watchmaker. Then, in the Sleeping Doll, she took on Daniel Pell. Pell led a cult of women much like Charles Manson, controlling them via his superior intellect.

Now Kathryn finds herself involved with a troubled teenager, one who idolizes the Columbine and Virginia Tech killers. He is out for revenge when a blogger attacks him (kinda scary there). The teenager was somehow involved in the deaths of two teenage girls. Plus, there are some unresolved family issues that will come into play.

I am looking forward to this release. I have to admit, Jeffery Deaver is my favorite author. He asserts total control over the plot line in his stories. Expect to take a wild ride with this book and don't even try to guess the end, he is the master at surprise endings and plot twists.

I will devour this pretty quickly I'm sure and post a review soon. Enjoy.
