Review: Remaking by Blake Crouch

Remaking is the second short story in the collection Thriller 2 edited by Clive Cussler. This is a memorable story in my opinion. It starts off with a young boy being watched, but you are not sure who is watching. The boy, along with his angry father, is followed to a motel. The boy leaves the room to get a soda and is intercepted by a man pretending to be a police officer.

This story has tension building from the beginning. I knew the boy was going to be abducted and raped or killed. But, like a master thriller writer, Blake Crouch had something else in mind. The story is not long, only fourteen and a half pages. It is more than enough to have you on the edge of your seat, waiting to see what becomes of the boy.
