Daddy Daughter Day: The Runaway Bunny by Margaret Wise Brown

I am so glad it is Friday. This has been a particularly trying week for me so today I bring you a sweet and caring book to end your week. Today's book is The Runaway Bunny by Margaret Wise Brown and illustrated by Clement Hurd.

Little bunny decided to run away from home. But, not matter what little bunny decides to do, mother has a way to be right there. When little bunny decides to become a trout in a trout stream, mother will become a fisherman and fish for little bunny. In the end little bunny decides to stay at home after all.

This is the type of book to read right before your little one falls asleep. There is quite a bit more prose than in most board books and that helps lull them to sleep. The content is very sweet and touching, my daughter loves the story and often is mostly asleep on my shoulder as we read this at night.
