Daddy Daughter Day: Fidgety Fish and Friends

Once again Friday brings us another installment of Daddy Daughter Day. This week I bring you Fidgety Fish and Friends by Paul Bright and illustrated by Ruth Galloway.

This book is a collection of cute rhymes that portray the various animals that live in the ocean. You will meet Fidgety Fish, Smiley Shark, Amazing Angelfish, Terrific Turtle and many more. Each animal has its own rhyme that is extremely fun to read. I try out several different voices each time I read this.

The book is bright and colorful. The front cover has some glitter in places that catches the eyes of the little ones. There are also plenty of things to practice some counting if they are up for it. Each time you turn the page Fidgety Fish will be there somewhere. Sometimes he is hiding behind something or even floating in a bubble. It is always fun to let my daughter try to find him before we turn the page.

This is another great book and I highly recommend it. Paul Bright is the author of several other children's books including Nobody Laughs at Lion and The Bears in the Bed and the Great Big Storm.
