New Releases on my Wishlist

Below are a few books that are being released this week that have caught my eye. I plan to make this a weekly segment here.

The Crack in the Lens by Steve Hockensmith
This is the fourth novel featuring amateur detectives "Big" and "Old" Red. The brothers set out to solve the murder of "Old" Red's sweetheart in San Marcos, Texas. If you aren't familiar with the series, "Old" Red is a huge Sherlock Holmes fan and does his best to investigate crimes in the same manner.

The Defector by Daniel Silva

Gabriel Allon is back in the ninth book in this action packed series. This one begins six months after the previous novel, Moscow Rules. Allon is trying to resume his honeymoon with his new wife Chiara. This is interrupted when he learns that the man who saved his life in Moscow is missing and believed to be a double agent. Now, Gabriel is being blamed for planting the double agent and must travel to London to attempt to clear his name.

Dead Docket by Mitchell Graham

John Delaney and Katherine Adams have been conducting a long distance relationship since the murderous events that brought them together in Majestic Descending. When his father's partner's daughter is killed in a horrific accident, John travels to Atlanta to help settle her affairs and spend some quality time with Katherine. He learns that the girl has some dark secrets in her past that just may put John and Katherine in the sights of a killer.

High Bloods by John Farris

Los Angeles has suddenly been inflicted with a werewolf epidemic. During most days of the month, this presents no problem for normal people, or High Bloods. But during the full moon, these creatures are ravenous monsters. Rawson, an agent for Lycan Control, finds himself trying to keep people safe during the full moon. Not only does he have to control the werewolves, but he has to fight the cult like fame spreading through the Hollywood community.
